Setting the scene
We are a Sydney based, early stage wine startup with the mission to take the intimidation and confusion out of learning, exploring and most importantly drinking delicious bottles of wine. We are building a wine brand that is simultaneously remarkable yet inclusive, and it’s our mission to provide our customers with access to a world of wine that may just have been a little beyond their comfort zone.
We like to think of ourselves as providing monthly wine adventures, customised to each member's unique tastes, delivered to their door. Where they can learn as much (or as little) about their wines each month as they like. We're about two years old, and we've just started to hit our stride. If this sounds good so far? Great! Who we're looking for?
People who will take a great deal of pride in running a tight ship. And by ship we mean warehouse. Someone that's going to pack a mean box of wine, and do it efficiently because you'll have lots going out everyday. But also pack with love, because they know that each box is super important to all our customers, and customer experience is the foundation of what our brand is built on.
Specifically, you'll need a current forklift licence for NSW and have plenty of experience with them. You'll need to be able to learn our back-end order system, create boxes, pack wine, write gift notes, receive stock, do stock takes, keep track of incoming orders and invoices, organise our supplies, manage the warehouse, help with customer service, build relationships with our drivers and suppliers and most importantly work really well with the team.
You need to be organised, detail orientated, or preferably detailed obsessed! For instance, we love it when people address their applications email to: 'Wine Gallery HQ'. Most importantly you'll be someone with grit, who can work hard and fast and handle long hours when needed. Expect to be pushed!
But for the right person who's going to take pride in their efficiency, enjoys hard work and gets a lot out of being super organised, we think it could be a great role.
You'll be the first point of contact with our customers, and we take that very seriously. So you'll be an extremely valuable member of the team. Lastly for the right person there's opportunity to build their own packing team as we grow.
So what's in it for you?
Although this may start as a casual role there is the opportunity for full-time employment for the right person. You'll be moving quickly and facing new challenges every day. With lots of on the job learning.
The days and hours are flexible, but normally starting at 8am. So would suit students, people coming back into the workforce and people looking for casual flexible work. Or someone that just loves to pack wine.
'Okay. You've got me. What do I have to do?'
If you're interested please send through your CV and cover letter through to: email@example.com including the following info: One reason why you think KPIs are important. Three reasons why you wish to work with our company. Two previous jobs or projects you've completed which have helped you develop the skills necessary for this job. Two reasons why you like operating off checklists and procedures and what you believe the benefits are.
Thank you for you time and I know the right applicant will really like this job and growing with us.
