What you'll need:
- 12 chicken drumsticks
- 6 cloves of garlic, halved and peeled
- The best peri-peri spice rub you can find
- Flatbreads, to serve
Time: 20 minutes
Get your sharpest knife, and cut a pocket into the chicken drumsticks along the bone. Place half a garlic clove in each one, then rub the whole thing with as much peri-peri as you dare.
Barbecue over hot coals for 15 minutes, turning often. Serve with warm flatbreads, and a fresh green salad.
This dish will go brilliantly with the signature varietal in South Africa. Pair this with the Painted Wolf 'The Den' Pinotage 2017. This wine is going to go well with really deeply spiced food so this two should be a winning combo!
